Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica
One of the tell-tale signs of an excellent yoga school is the multifaceted nature of its offerings. In the same way as the yogic discipline consists of various aspects, Blue Osa is a beautiful and complex organization that features a multitude of YTT courses, retreats, yoga spa vacations and eco adventures.
All of the above take place at the Blue Osa permanent base, which is an eco-friendly retreat that highlights the beauty of Costa Rican nature. Every element of the venue is designed to give its visitors an opportunity to connect with the land, the fauna, themselves, and fellow human beings. This luxury beachside resort has a variety of lodging options, from private rooms to family suites. Another unique feature of the venue is that it runs entirely off-grid, which amounts to annual energy consumption less than an average US household.
As for the yoga teacher training itself, you can choose from a variety of Yoga Alliance accredited training courses that will help you become your best self. At Blue Osa, you have the option to take your time, completing the 200-hour YTT over the course of 28 days. Alternatively, those who have limited time can immerse themselves into an intense 14-day training, featuring the same curriculum. In a word, you will be eating, sleeping, and breathing yoga throughout that time. Those who already have a foundation in yoga teaching also have the option to advance their career by completing the 300-hour YTT in this magical location.
All training courses are led by Blue Osa founders Adam and Aaron, with incredible support from the resort team. Furthermore, during your stay, you will be enjoying wholesome and nourishing meals overseen by another founder and chef Marie.
